1. UPSHIFT Comeback Score
The UPSHIFT Comeback Score is an educational financial-wellness progress score created inside the app. It is not a FICO score, not a VantageScore®, and not an official consumer credit score from a credit bureau or other consumer reporting agency.
2. Credit-report disputes
Consumers have a right to dispute information they believe is inaccurate or incomplete. CredBounce helps organize that self-service process, but the user decides what they genuinely believe is wrong and is responsible for the truthfulness of the submission.
Accurate, current negative information generally cannot be removed simply because it hurts a score. The software is not designed to dispute every negative item. It is designed to help users document possible inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, mixed-file, identity-theft, or otherwise improperly reported information.
3. Investigation timing
Credit reporting companies generally must investigate a credit-report dispute within 30 days of receiving it. Some circumstances can extend an investigation to 45 days, including certain disputes connected with a free annual report or relevant additional information submitted during the investigation. UPSHIFT's 30/45-day display is a planning tracker based on dates the user enters; it is not a legal deadline calculator.
4. Credit reporting company and furnisher
Official CFPB guidance explains that consumers can dispute inaccurate information with the credit reporting company and with the company that furnished the information. A furnisher generally must investigate a direct dispute and respond within the applicable period. The outcome depends on the facts, records, recipient, and law.
5. Identity theft
Identity-theft routes are only for genuine identity theft. IdentityTheft.gov provides the federal recovery process and information about an FTC Identity Theft Report, fraud alerts, credit freezes, and blocking fraudulent information from a credit file when requirements are met.
6. Debt Autopilot
Debt Autopilot Level 1 is an educational planning and local tracking tool. Snowball/Avalanche order, monthly allocations, projected payoff dates, percentages, and estimated interest are based on information the user enters and simplified monthly-interest assumptions. Actual creditor balances and payoff timing may differ because of daily interest, fees, statement cycles, changing minimum payments, payment posting, and creditor rules.
Recording a payment or applying a planned month inside the beta does not send money, verify receipt, or create a payment authorization. UPSHIFT+ premium membership is available for $9.99 per month through Stripe-hosted checkout. That membership charge is separate from the user’s creditor payments and does not authorize CredBounce or Storm And Me LLC to debit a bank account or send money to a creditor. Debt Autopilot+ Level 2 creditor-payment execution is not active in the public beta and remains gated behind an approved specialized payment provider, separate user authorization, and launch review.
